FAQs

Do you accept vouchers or third-party payments?
Yes. We accept vouchers from Wake, Harnett, and Johnston County Human Services. We also accept checks from companies participating in a Flex Plan.

Do you provide meals?
We serve a breakfast-type snack in the morning, a nutritionally balanced lunch, and an afternoon snack. Meals are based on the U.S. Department of Agriculture meal patterns, which are approved for use by the Child Day Care Commission. A weekly menu is posted in every classroom.

What if I only want my child to attend part-time?
Due to limited spacing, we are not able to provide part-time or drop-in care.

Do you offer a discount for families with more than one child at the center?
Yes, family discounts are done on an individual basis, depending on the number of children attending the center.

What kind of curriculum do you have?
Following the Creative Curriculum (recommended by SmartStart and the National Association for the Education of Young Children), each classroom develops weekly themes to enhance play through learning centers and classroom activities. Each class offers activities and experiences that encourage growth in all areas of development.

What kind of training does your staff have?
Every lead teacher is required to have his/her North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (NCECC). Several teachers hold a Bachelor or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or are currently enrolled in a degree program. All staff are required to have CPR & First Aid training within six months of employment. All staff receive annual training through Project Enlightenment, Child Care Resource & Referral, and education programs provided on-site.

Where can I find more information on preschool/childcare centers in NC?
